Wine Storage
Storage is the practical question: how many bottles, at what temperature, in what space. This page answers it before we get to how it looks.
What this one is
One page inside the head terms group — how to store wine without a cellar room. What follows is how it meets the wall, how the rows are pitched, and what the drawing has to settle before anything is cut.
Where it goes
It stands on the floor, so the plinth carries the load and the wall only has to stop it tipping.
It is built into the joinery, flush with the surrounding panels.
It is part of a walk-in room, where the cabinet becomes the walling.
Bottle fit and cradle pitch
Every row is cut to the bottles it will hold, and the drawing labels which row takes which shape.

Before you order a wine storage
Do I need a dedicated room?
No. Most of what we build is a cabinet against an existing wall. A room only makes sense above about 500 bottles.
How long can wine sit in a cabinet without cooling?
Months, not years, if the room stays under 21 °C and out of direct sun. Above that the wine ages faster than you want.
Should bottles lie flat?
Yes for anything you plan to keep more than a year — the cork has to stay wet. Screw-cap and spirits can stand.

Send the wall, not the wish list
Three photographs and the bottle count is enough for a scheme and a fixed price.
