Backlit Bottle Wall Behind a Bar
A bottle wall lit from behind the bottles rather than in front of them, so the wall glows through the glass and the bar reads as a light source from across the room.
What the photographs show
A wall of bottles with light behind the rows, blue and white in places, dark counter in front and stools below. The wall is the light source for the room; there is almost nothing else lit in the frame.
What the build had to solve
Backlighting changes the build. The light sits in a cavity behind the bottle plane, the rows are set forward of it so bottles do not sit flat against a bright panel, and the rear surface is finished matte so no hot spot shows through. Service access to the LED runs is from the front, because nobody wants to move a bar to change a strip.
What to copy, and what to avoid
Worth copying: a matte rear panel behind the light. Worth avoiding: gloss — it turns every strip into a visible line and every bottle into a silhouette.

What clients ask about a room like this one
Does backlighting spoil the wine?
Light does, heat does more. LED strips in a vented cavity run cool, and the bottles sit forward of them so nothing is in contact with the light source.
Can the colour be changed?
Warm white is what we recommend, because it reads as wine rather than as a sign. Tunable strips are available and are quoted per project.
