Metal Wine Racks
A metal rack holds more bottles in less space than timber and does not care about humidity. The only question is which metal and what finish.
What this one is
One page inside the by material and finish group — steel is the point, not a compromise. What follows is how it meets the wall, how the rows are pitched, and what the drawing has to settle before anything is cut.
Where it goes
It stands on the floor, so the plinth carries the load and the wall only has to stop it tipping.
It fixes to the wall, which keeps the floor clear and puts the bottles at eye level.
It hangs from the ceiling structure, leaving the floor completely open.
Bottle fit and cradle pitch
Capacity for this model runs 12 – 240 bottles. If your count sits outside that band, the band moves rather than the room: the module count and the cradle pitch are what change, not the finish or the frame.
What the drawing fixes
Everything on the drawing comes back to four numbers: width 400 – 3,000 mm; capacity 12 – 240 bottles; lead time 20 – 30 days. Change one of them and it is a different cabinet, drawn again rather than stretched. Floor · Wall · Ceiling are the mounting conditions this one is drawn for.

Before you order a metal wine racks
Wrought iron or stainless?
Stainless indoors — iron rusts in a cellar and the coating always fails at the welds. Iron is for outdoors, and even then we would use 316.
Does metal vibrate against the wall?
Not if it is isolated. We fix through rubber grommets, which matters if the rack is near a fridge or a walkway.

Send the wall, not the wish list
Three photographs and the bottle count is enough for a scheme and a fixed price.
