Frame Colours and Finishes
The frame is the only part of the cabinet you touch, so it takes the wear. Sixty-three surfaces across eight families, finished in-house.
How to choose
Start from what is already in the room and decide whether the frame should match or contrast. A champagne gold frame in a warm room disappears; a matte black frame in the same room becomes the drawing.
Then decide the sheen. Matte hides handling marks and reads calm; brushed metal shows its age honestly; a textured finish is the most forgiving of all.
| If the room is | Consider | Because |
|---|---|---|
| Warm timber and stone | MKJ champagne gold, MKY teak | Tones continue rather than cut across |
| Cool, minimal, grey | MKF matte, MKW micro-grey | Flat sheen keeps the frame quiet |
| Dark and dramatic | MKW ink black, MYG brushed | Either disappears or becomes the line drawing |
| Colourful or eclectic | MYG raw stainless | The one finish that will not fight anything |
Matching to a sample
Post us a physical sample — a door, a tile, a piece of trim. A RAL code describes colour but not sheen, and sheen is half of what you are choosing.
If the colour is critical we finish a sample plate and send it before production. It costs a few days and removes the only real risk in the order.

The questions that come up before an order
Can each module be a different finish?
Yes. Showrooms typically use six to eight finishes in one run.
Can you match a car paint colour?
We can get close on a solid colour. Metallic and pearlescent paints are a paint system, not a metal finish, and the flake will not match.

Tell us what the room is like
Sun, humidity, dust and how often the door opens all decide the material. Describe the room and we will rule options out rather than in.
