Five checks, and the one that catches most faults

Inspection and Quality Control

Quality control is not a final inspection. It is five checks at the points where an error cannot be recovered afterwards, and the last one is done with the cabinet running.

The five checkpoints

#CheckpointWhat is measured
1Cut and foldPanel dimensions against the production drawing, ±1 mm
2Frame finishCorner dress under raking light, grain direction, no handling marks
3Cradle pitchRow by row against the drawing, including the rows labelled for magnum or Champagne
4CoolingPull-down time, 24-hour hold, door-open recovery
5FinalDoor gap even at 2 mm, seal contact, light, lock, and a full open-and-close cycle

The check that catches the most

Cradle pitch. It is the one error a client cannot see until the bottles arrive, and the one that cannot be fixed without new cradles.

Every row is measured against the drawing and marked off. On a mixed cellar that means the Champagne rows and the magnum rows are checked as separate items, not as part of a run.

What we photograph

Every cabinet is photographed before packing: front, open, detail of the corner, and the controller display at setpoint. Those photos go to the client with the shipping documents.

It is not a marketing exercise. It is the evidence base if something arrives damaged, and it takes four minutes.

Questions

The questions that come up before an order

Do you accept third-party inspection?

Yes. Tell us before production so the timing works, and we will have the cabinet running and accessible.

What is the defect rate?

We will not quote a number we cannot evidence. We will tell you what the five checkpoints are and let you inspect against them.

What happens if something is wrong on arrival?

Photograph it and send it. Manufacturing faults are replaced at our cost within two years; transit damage is a freight claim and we help you run it.

Send the wall and the bottle count

Three photographs and a tape measure is enough for a scheme, a finish direction and a price. The drawing fee covers the CAD and the visuals.
